Family Vacation
Hotel was in a very good location. Across the street from Nishinakajimaminamigata station. There are a lot of Izakaya's (small restaurants/bars) in the area, cafe's, bakery, family mart, 7-11, and a supermarket. Hotel room is very small breakfast was good.

Pros: the location is very good, right next to the subway station. Easy access to main travel areas. Cons: very old hotel, small room. The room is very warm(hot) and is not able to adjust the temperature. There is only one key and need to return to front desk every time to go out.

Good stopover before venturing out to Shirakawago
Short walk to Kanazawa station in one direction, and a slow 15min/25min walk to Omichio market and Kanazawa castle respectively in the other direction.

Osaka Budget Traveler Location
This hotel is worth considering if you're on a tight budget and want a conveniently located place in Osaka while traveling light. It's right beside the Nishinakajimaminamigata Station, so it's a quick walk to the train/subway. That always makes life easier in Japan. That station is also very close to the main Osaka station, in case you plan to catch the Shinkansen. It's also an easy ride down to Dotonburi, the major shopping/food area. The staff also can speak with you in English, which helps if you cannot speak or understand Japanese. The hotel is used by a lot of Japanese business travelers. However, it is very basic, and 2 adults may need to use a double bed (wide bed) for a 2 person room (versus 2 separate beds). Rooms are tight, and not meant for large suit cases. The hotel feels old and worn out (if that matters to you). Wifi is also slow and may not be functional at times. They give you a physical key to use for your room, which you have to give to the front desk everytime you leave the hotel. Other than that, it's a convenient spot to stay in Osaka for a budget traveler.
