Not easy to get to, but adequate (and interesting).
Hotels are expensive in Bath, and this is certainly a less expensive alternative, but it's quite a distance away, and is confusing to get to by bus unless you call first. It's a remodeled old manor, and it's pretty interesting, but not if they put you in the dorm-like addition. Great breakfast. The English countryside surrounding it is fantastic.

Jumped up little Marco
Since Marco has taken over this hotel and his obnoxious son has been hanging around the place like a bad smell this place has gone down hill dramatically. The newer rooms are becoming shabby, the curtains hang off the walls, the TV's are shocking and the internet doesn't work in most rooms.

Excellent Location and Facilities
We really enjoyed our room and the location of this hotel. The second bed was a pull out couch which was not comfortable, but the main bed was excellent and the room was nicely sized with two sets of doors that let in a lot of natural light and a nice breeze. The breakfast was excellent with a room full of fun photos. Over all great place to stay!

Shame! Could do better.
Two nights in July. We were put into rooms in the annex building which is fairly modern. Rooms were not in good condition. Hole in the carpet, extractor fan in bathroom not working (both rooms!), paint peeling on balcony doors, mattress lumpy and uncomfortable. TV reception was appalling! One room had a reasonable sized screen but the other had a very small screen (19inch?). Both had the same problem. The main building was like a maze and there is no way finding signage. Reception is in a room off the main entrance hall but this is not clear. The restaurant is down a twisting corridor (again, not signposted) with several small (and unmarked) steps. Not easy for one of our party who has sight problems. Breakfast was superb if they had what you wanted. No choice of juice. No preserves. Staff very pleasant and efficient in the restaurant. Lots of money spent on the grounds which are wonderful and I guess provide much of the items served up in the restaurant. (Pigs very friendly!!) Situated in a very strange area which suited our requirements for visiting friends locally. Right on the A4 which is a busy road. Not too expensive. We did not use the restaurant for an evening meal but there was no option for an evening snack, only a full blown meal which we did not need. Probably would not stay there again. Shame as it has a lot of potential.
