Satisfactory but maybe other hotels are better
Room had no cross ventilation so hot. Food okay but better in town.

Definitely not worth $300/night!
I rarely leave reviews but I feel it is important for guests to know what to expect at this hotel. Upon arrival we received a notice regarding possible interruptions in electricity, water pressure, WiFi signal and the occasional appearance of insects since this is a tropical island after all. With this in mind, I did not mind when a beetle the size of an almond crawled up my leg and a flying roach the size of my thumb was trapped in the bathroom. What bothered me was the mound of ants outside my shower door which wasn’t cleared away after fumigation when we checked in. It suggests no one bothered to check the room before we entered. We also did not have hot water for 2 days and on the third day, I informed the receptionist. I was rudely informed our room probably ran out of gas. Apparently it is also the responsibility of the guests to notify and monitor the gas tanks of their rooms. Lastly, we asked the receptionist if a hike to a specific mountain was possible and was told yes. We not only learned that it was near impossible and DANGEROUS as you would likely end up stranded. Sub-par service and uninformed staff downgrades this otherwise decent hotel.

Boutique hôtel in Easter Island
Hotel rooms lobby and grounds are very well decorated. The outdoor shower is fun. Staff is pleasant and efficient. We didn’t try the restaurant but the breakfast was good. The view from the room balc By and Hotel terrace are amazing.

The Altiplanico is a great set of cabins. The staff are all fantastic and the restaurant is the best I ate at on the whole of Easter Island. My greatest concern was the sliding glass doors in the cabins. None of them lock and can easily be moved to the side and anyone can get into the room. These sliding glass doors need to be secured or provide dowels that can be inserted so the doors don`t open. As a solo female traveler I do expect that any room I stay at will have windows and doors that can be secured. The view from Altiplanico is beautiful.

Excellent service
Nice hotel, just out of town but with sea views from the rooms and restaurant and a nice 30 minute walk along the coast into the town. Great breakfast and excellent service. We only ate dinner one night, very expensive and average. Go into town, more choice, nice walk and cheap taxi back (£3). All rooms are individual bungalows, well appointed, surprisingly good showers.
