It was just an attic with four beds and a bath. Steep stairs, great location city center. Quiet. Sewer gas smell needs to be addressed. Overall not bad for the price

Good place. Great location!
Loved this little place. Only problem was that the internet access mostly only worked as long as you were sitting on the stairs.

This should not be listed on Expedia - not a hotel
This is a mess - a series of substandard rooms in buildings around a restaurant whose staff is forced to try and accommodate overnight guests. Dangerous stairways. Strange rooms.

Nice small town family feel in Holland.
Very nice for the one night we were in town. We will use this hotel again.

Convenient to town square
Four of us stayed in the room with 4 single beds. The room was really great with one exception. However, there was no air conditioning, which was fine because opening the windows was all we needed to do to cool the room down. It was extremely quiet, which was actually difficult for us Americans as we are so used to the constant white noise of the A/C going at night. I say it was quiet--and it was--but occasionally birds would make noises which would abruptly interrupt the silence. So, if this is an issue for you, I strongly recommend earplugs or download white noise app for your phone or bring a fan or something. One other issue was that the room has extremely steep winding stairs up to it. This wasn't an issue for us at all, but I could see this being difficult for some--especially if you have a lot of heave luggage.

For a family wanting to spend time in Holland.
This is more like a condo, the location is excellent. It is very clean with large kitchen and nice bathroom the beds are confortable. The only odd thing was the oon a Arial it is confusing to find the door. The staff are friendly when you find them.

Couldn't find check-in; STEEP stairs.
The address given for this hotel is a single door leading to a flight of stairs, that was locked and dark all day. We wanted to leave our luggage so we could sight see, but there was no buzzer, sign, or any indication of what to do. A nice lady at the info office (opposite end of the Grote Market from the church) stowed our bags for the day, then tried to call the contact number for the hotel; no one answered. We came back at 3:00 (official check-in time) but still no one there. In desperation, we asked the pizzeria next door to the locked door, and they sent us to the Piccolo cafe at the end of the street. The lady there checked us in, then led us across and down the street to a very old, canal-style house, which was kind of cool. Less cool, however, were the three flights of stairs that were steep enough to be considered a ladder! It was no small feat to pull our bags to the top. The room, though, was in the attic, very light and roomy, literally in the shadow of the church near the Grote Markt. They gave us a wifi password, but there was no signal and I was not able to get on at all. The location was convenient to the train station, Grote Markt, Corrie Ten Boom house, shopping, restaurants, and the bus to Schipol and Keukenhof.

We enjoyed it but not for everyone.
The location is great and the room was large two floors light and fresh, shower had great water pressure. We loved the neighborhood. There were a few serious drawbacks. The hotel is spread amongst different buildings and our unit was over a restaurant that played loud music into the night, plus you're right next to the church and the sound of its glockenspiel. It also didn't have curtains, just frosted glass and the businesses attached had roof lights on that shined into our room until late. Since there isn't a reception area, they should send out an email explaining how to get the room key. We asked a neighbor who led us to the restaurant that was holding our key. To reach our unit you had to go up the steepest staircase we'd ever seen, challenging to get up with a suitcase. We never got the wifi to work. That said, the furniture is all new looking and everything was clean, our kids loved it and slept well even in the noisy bright room.
