Granada stay - Excellent Location
This hotel was very basic but clean. If you are looking for somewhere with a bit of room we had 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and living room with bathroom for $127 US per night. In Granada city the location could not be any better. The suites are right downtown. The bus to the Alhambra is also a 2 minute walk away in the Isabella Square.

Is this Paradise?
To set the stage, our previous two nights at a hostel in Granada was something that we just stumbled into, having arrived late in the day and with no reservations. The hostel had no air conditioning, so we had to open our window at night on a noisy street; shared bathroom (that was kept very clean), and no TV - just a bed and a sink. Naturally, it was inexpensive. I booked Portago Suites online the night before, and to my surprise, the cost was $15 less than I had expected. But even more of a surprise was how incredible the place was! First, it was at least 50 times larger than where we had stayed. We had a separate fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area with a large LCD TV, sofa and table. The nicely appointed bedroom had air conditioning, and the private bathroom and shower were a welcome addition. The street was quiet and convenient for anyone going to Alhambra or looking for dining options in the area. We left the hotel feeling refreshed and ready to begin our 36 hour journey back to the United States. My only regret is that we didn't book this for all three nights we were in Granada.

Cute, but noisy..
Good locale and nice property. The only problem we had was the noise. At night you can hear everything happening on the streets below. Garbage trucks and loud partiers kept us up most nights. Bring good ear plugs!

Walking distance to everything
Great location, clean room, helpful staff. Located on a cobblestone street blocks from great tapas bars. Of course, if your suite faces the street, it'll be noisy all night.

The hotel itself was ok. However there was an issue somewhere between booking on this site and the booking getting to the hotel. When we arrived they had no record of it. I guess we were lucky there was a room. The staff were helpful in sorting this out. But it did mean we had a room with the queen bed instead of twin. It was a bit strange with the door buzzer, as we had to use this every time to get into the building rather than a key or code, and the room door was a little difficult to open. But otherwise the room was good and had a nice bathroom. There were lots of restaurants all around which was great. Very close the shops and buses to the tourist spots.
