I love this hotel
I love this hotel and being an avid traveler I can say that this hotel enhanced my experience in Thailand. These are the reasons why: 1. Excellent location: It is very easy to get to this hotel from the airport. Google Map will tell you it’s not possible but it’s not accurate. Just make sure your final stop after transferring to the line is National Stadium. You want to exit the opposite side of the mall and when you exit the hotel is right there 2. Friendly front desk: they gave me great advice on saving money and also extended my check out time without a fee because my laundry wasn’t completed by the nearby laundry service center 3. Plum Siam travel agency: It is located at the lobby and the nice young lady was so helpful. She helped me book 2 day trips at a good price. Also she gave me great advices on what is an appropriate attire, what to take to site seeing spots (passport to Grand Palace), and which sites were closed 4. 7-Eleven at the lobby: If I got hungry or thirsty I just went downstairs to buy food and whatever I needed. Very convenient and clean! 5. Very clean room: if a hotel has everything but lacks cleanliness I would never utilize the hotel. But this place is immaculate! I would return again the next time I visit Bangkok which is next year! 6. Quiet and nice view: I was given a corner room Room 1524 and the view of the city and the stadium was quite relaxing I can’t believe this hotel is not five stars!

Fuss free comfortable stay and well located.
Ibis Siam proved to be a good choice as it was logistically well positioned. Literally in front of the BTS National Stadium stop (take exit 1 so that you are at the right side of the road to get to the hotel). The front desk personnel were both efficient and effective and were always forthcomingly willing with sincere smiles or offers of help. Checking in an out was truly fuss free. The rooms are clean ,a good size and had all the normal amenities one would expect of a hotel of this grade . The beds were very comfortable. The Housekeeping staff were thorough too. I was especially grateful that my request was given consideration and fulfilled. The room I had the faced the National Stadium and offered quite a pleasing view of the sky line as it was not obstructed. It was also the quieter part of the building. Needless to say that the shops and stores were all within walking distance from the hotel and what was even more advantageous is that there is a 7/11 at the lobby. My only negative point to share was that the shower cubicle in the bathroom is on the small side due to it'sodd shape and that the water pressure for the shower could have been better. The other point that may cause a small gripe with some is that The National Stadium is the last stop at the Chidlom line. For those who would rather have quicker access to the Sukhumvit Line; having to do a one stop at Siam station, and then, on to the Sukhumvit line may prove tedious. Overall this was a great place to stay.

The rooms are slightly on the smaller side, just enough for 2 person with few luggages to fit in. It have a fridge, TV with over hundred of cable channels, a bathroom with a shower and a seated toilet. The room are fairly clean but not very bright during night time with the lights on. The bathroom have some cups and shower caps but doesn't come with any toothbrush or toothpaste. The bathroom door doesn't have a lock though. The daily breakfast have a good spread of food. There's a 7-11 on the ground floor opened 24/7. Security is not good enough, the lifts aren't secure with any key card system. Hotel doesn't allow you to eat durians in the room. Wifi is still stable for most of the time and allow to watch YouTube or Netflix smoothly. People are allow to smoke at the front benches placed in front of the hotel. There's a small space in front of the hotel for cabs or cars to come in. The staffs can call for cabs/taxis for you if required. I recommend to use the Grab app or Uber app to get around for cheaper option. Hotel is right beside to the MBK shipping mall and nearby to the Siam Center/Discovery/Paragon (walking distance).

Affordable Hotel
Hotel is 5min walk to MBK Centre and 15min walk to Siam BTS Station. Taxi uncles do not know of the hotel thus would be better to travel to the hotel via Grab or Uber and out of the hotel via taxis. Otherwise just let them know that you are going to the hotel opposite MBK Centre which by high chance, they will drop you at MBK. Road in front of hotel tends to have heavy traffic so it would be good to alight if the vehicle is not moving and walk over to the hotel instead. A cash deposit (or credit card) is required during check-in and refundable upon return of key card. Toiletries provided are shower cap and 3-in-1 shower gel in a dispenser form. Hence it is best to bring along your own shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton wool and etc otherwise there is a 24hrs 7-11 at the lobby that have toiletries available for purchase. Glass bottled water are provided therefore do bring along a bottle to do refills. The room is not sound proof hence if assigned a corner room, there will be 3 rooms next to one another which if there are children or families, it gets quite loud. Overall, the hotel is clean and comfortable, suitable for anyone on budget or any groups whom do not stay long in the rooms itself.

Nice stay but ridiculous policy on laundry
Our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights (2 adults, 2 year old and 7 month old baby). Staff offered us a baby cot in check in even though we didn’t reserve one (brought our own). Beds and pillows very comfortable. Buffet breakfast had a good selection but the restaurant is not very big so if you go close to closing time, likely will have to wait (unless you want to sit outside). Also the hotel is a lot busier at the weekends, we had to wait frequently for the food to be replenished and our order at the egg station (2 fried eggs and an omelette) took 40 minutes to arrive! There is a 7/11 downstairs that is well stocked on drinks, snacks, toiletries etc. Location is great, right next to National Stadium skytrain Station and within walking distance to Siam Paragon. 2 complaints about our stay: 1) WiFi didn’t work 2) my toddler was sick and I washed his pyjamas immediately (in the evening) as it smelt so bad. I hang them up to dry and the hotel sent me a warning letter the following day saying it was against hotel policy to hang clothes up and I should use their laundry service (there was no way I was leaving that offensive smelling item in our room unwashed overnight). I couldn’t find this policy anywhere nor have I ever come across it in other hotels, especially when it was hanging inside our room where no one could see.
