About NOFO Loft, Stockholm

Budget attic loft in hip Södermalm, close to Gamla Stan

Central Station: 3 stops

Nofo Loft is in Södermalm, a hip neighborhood with lots of cafés and boutiques, 3 T-bana metro stops from the city center, Central Station, and Airport Express trains. It’s a 20-minute stroll to Gamla Stan, home to the Royal Palace and the medieval Riddarholm church.

Waterfront walk and art

There are great views of the harbor and skyline from Fjällgatan, 8 minutes on foot, and nearby Fotografiska hosts contemporary photo exhibitions. A 35-minute walk along the water takes you to Moderna Museet on Skeppsholmen, with modern art and a restaurant with a harbor backdrop.

Free courtyard breakfast

The breakfast buffet comes with a wide choice of dishes, including cereals, breads, and cheeses that will get you ready for the day - you can enjoy it in the pebbled courtyard. There's free tea and coffee in the lobby, and the wine cellar bar is perfect for evening drinks.

Free WiFi, satellite TV

The 26 rooms are 3 flights up under the roof of the Nofo Hotel, and have sloping ceilings, bright colors, and simple Scandinavian decor. Some have views of Katarina Church, and there's free WiFi and satellite TV - the spotless bathrooms are right outside in the corridor.

Great hotel
This hotel is in a really cool old building with a wine bar in the lobby. It was a convenient walk to Gamla Stan and the royal palace, and there were some great restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was awesome--lots of variety and everything was delicious. The staff was welcoming and very helpful about giving advice about restaurants and directions to sightseeing. Our room was on the top floor so we had to go up several flights of stairs, which might be an issue for people who aren't mobile or have lots of luggage. We didn't mind it (we needed the exercise after the buffet!), and our five-year-old did fine with the stairs. Our room wasn't fancy but it was clean, good sized, and the bed was comfortable. It was also very quiet. We took an expensive cab ride from the train station, but found out it's easy to take the subway (only a few stops), so we did that on the way back to the station and it was much quicker and cheaper. Great place to stay if you want a place with character (and to be away from the craziness by the train station!).

Long weekend workout for 2!
The hotel itself was nice in a central location in Stockhom . Our room was on the top floor with no lift and 8 flights of stairs to do! My husband needs a knee replacement so the stairs proved a nitemare for him. Shared bathrooms were awful. Sadly I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I did call prior to going to Nofo to find out about the bathroom facilities but you assured me we wouldn't be sharing. We shared 3 toilets and 3 showers with dozens of rooms. It was like a noisy hostel.
