Great hotel for the money
Great hotel for the price. Big room with a view. Comfortable bed. 3 pillows. We asked for 2 extra towels. Good water boiler for tea and coffee. Bought cream at the nearby tesca and kept it in the window (Jan). Staff super nice and willing to help. Huge breakfast for 10 pounds which we only did once. Location good for National Theatre, Globe, Tate Modern and Old Vic. Tube close but not the best line. Eat at Anchor and Hope.

Very Good8.0
Wonderful hotel, with one exception.
Pros: very modern decor, clean hotel throughout, super friendly staff, and a killer breakfast put this hotel at the top. They had fast WiFi, offered in room coffee and tea. The bed was comfy. Around the corner from the Southwark station on Jubilee line. Cons: no in room safe, only 2 bath towels provided (no face towel or wash cloth). But the largest negative for us was this room was small with virtually no space to put our stuff. One of our large suitcases had to be put on the small couch, the other suitcase had to go on the floor in front of the desk limiting the walking area. The desk was very small; we were unable to put our backpacks or bags on it. These too had to sit on the floor. The bathroom had no space for our toiletries so we had to keep them in our luggage and carry them to the bathroom each time. We just were not comfortable here. I get the sense they are targeting a younger audience, or those that travel very light and really only care about a place to sleep and get great WiFi. We are mid-aged, traveling with 2 large suitcases and like to stretch out and have places off the floor to keep our stuff. For all the good reasons I rate this place as 4 stars, but hold back 1 star because of the space issue we had.
