1000 Yen per hour ...cmon
too small. I know it's tokyo but still. This far out i Shinjuku should be better. Even for the price. They harass you on checkout if you stay even for a minute over.....then ca again when you extend for a 1000 Yen.

APA hotel is excellent
Spent 2 nights here, 1 night each before and after our Mt. Fuji climb. Located very conveniently next to a subway station with plenty of places to eat close by. No nonsense front desk check in and the staff was very kind and helpful. Room was small but perfectly clean and comfortable. Price was $78 and $65. No complaints whatsoever. I only gave a 3 for "service" because outside of the front desk staff there is no service such as restaurant or workout area, etc. I will stay there again.

Stay in Shibuya!!! Not here!
I am not an idiot American abroad bashing a culture. I love Tokyo. I'm enthralled with Japan, and the people here are the nicest on earth. I am a frequent user of Hotels.com in the US and also when traveling internationally. The hotel was small, room maybe 150 SQ FT and that's probably generous. 'Business' rooms are tiny as expected. I was just staying here for one night and it was close to the subway. Upon arrival I was treated graciously as is customary in JP. The room on the surface was clean, good water pressure, good hotwater, room didn't smell, etc. Bathroom was super tiny, maybe 4 feet by 4 feet, I mean tiny which was an inconvenience but not a big deal for one night. I got a decent nights sleep and the next morning when I woke up I noticed at the foot of my bed on top of the sheets, three blood stains about the size of quarters and one the shape of a peanut. I don't care where you are this is inexcusable. I mentioned this upon checkout to the front desk and the two workers were the least experienced English speakers. They did not understand what I was saying, and I just didn't really bother since I was leaving, and preferred not to prove the stereo type of 'obnoxious American' right, even though I had good purpose. The next place I stayed for the remaining week was the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel. I don not have enough good things to say about this hotel. Look it up, and book there.
