Okay for one night
Room very good, although overpriced. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, tasty it was not. Would not stay again.

Beautiful Knaresborough sojourn
The accommodations are ideal, stables across the yard from the pub. Rather tired and in need of upgrading. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pub itself had been renovated. Food was good, service excellent, wifi good.

Best place in town.
We've stayed here before but the hosts were new. The stay was as excellent as ever. The hosts were lovely & so accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The bed was comfy, the breakfast gorgeous. So much so that we couldn't manage the Sunday carvery which was a shame as it smelt & looked great. The beer garden was nice & when it cooled down we went into the gazebo which was heated. The atmosphere in there was really friendly & everyone talked to each other. A couple of young ladies tried to convince us to join them for the karaoke but we declined as we would have cleared the pub in no time. But it was a fun evening anyway. I'd heartily recommend you to stay, especially if you have furbabies as we have. They are not banned from any area in the pub, even at meal times. Another new idea is that if you have trouble walking, & Knaresborough is very hilly, you can rent a mobility scooter from them. I wish I'd known sooner. We will definitely be staying here again, if a room is available, whenever visiting Knaresborough. The rooms are very quiet even when there is live music on, & well equipped. The tv was a bit small for us as we're old & our eyesight is failing but who goes away to watch tv. All in all, we think this is the best place to stay in Knaresborough. We asked to invite old neighbours to join us for breakfast on our last day & the hosts were more than happy to do this for us. Our friends were also impressed. I couldn't leave a review sooner as site was down.
