A tourist in Megura
This is not a tourist hotel. It's used by business people. Very close to public transport which gets you to other parts of Tokyo. No English language TV. Radio didn't work. Bed was OK. Breakfast was OK. I stayed here for the convenience of my friends. The hotel lobby is on floor 3. There is no phone in the room. It worked for 3 nights but no more.

Stay in Meguro
This hotel was a great value for your money. The location of the lobby on the 3rd floor was somewhat inconvenient, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had 3 separate bookings and would travel in and out of Tokyo and leave our larger suitcases with them. Only a couple steps away from the Meguro station, lots of places to eat and a market close by. We will stay there again.

Good value
Hotel Abest Meguro is a basic business hotel, very convenient to the West Exit of the Meguro metro stop. Rooms are small. The hard-wired internet is reliable and the breakfast buffet is good. Tons of good restaurants nearby. The air conditioning system is new and quiet, the window opens, my room had a deep tub, plenty of lighting, so everything I wanted was in place. The tv remote, air conditioning, and information guides are only in Japanese so I had to go get the desk to remind me how to run the air conditioner. No phones in rooms but who doesn't have a cell phone? This is the third time I stayed there and it is a good value. I will be happy to stay there again.

convenient
Hotel location was convenient with it being pretty much right out side the Meguro station. Plenty of food options as well. Room size decent but my room had a couch with a cover on it. It was like a sheet so a little strange. Perfect for a night or two of staying there.

basic but good
The hotel lobby and restaurant is on the third floor. This hotel is more geared towards Japanese guests but I would be happy to stay there again as it is a good value. There are no phones in the rooms. The television remote is in Kanji so I did not try to turn it on. The room has hard-wire internet so you remove the cable from the back of the tv to use on your laptop. The staff is English speaking and helpful but some things were better communicated when written down. The breakfast in the connected restaurant was very good and a low price with a mix of western and Japanese items. It is across the street from Meguro Metro station so it is easy to find - just watch what exit you use to avoid confusion.
