New cosmopolitan two night stay.
This was my second stay at the new cosmopolitan hotel, to be honest I don't like it. Upon my arrival this time and collected the key went to my room and thought I'd put the telly on, I did so and it was just sound no picture so I went downstairs to reception to let them know it was not working and could hey fix it, the guy on reception was ridiculously rude and told me if I didn't like it I could have a refund and leave!! To me that is absolutely disgusting behaviour when your the staff and if a paying guests room is not as described ie the telly not working then surely that's the hotels problem. In the room the double bed was cheap rubbish and the mattress was also cheap and felt it, as did the quilt and pillows. The shower just had one single jet that came out so you had to constantly move around to get showered and rinsed properly which wasn't easy as the shower was the size of a dolls house shower! So anyway on to breakfast.. A full English.. Well one cold dry sausage, a slice of bacon that had clearly been sat there cooked for a very long time as was brittle, the beans also had been sat for a long time as were ridiculously think almost like mushy peas, Egg over done, not a good breakfast at all to be honest very very disappointing. All in all for me really not a great stay on the whole and I definitely won't be staying there again, there is a lot lot lot better and friendlier in Brighton/kemp town for the money. Would I recommend it? Absolutely not.

Tiny and could use some upgrades
I was expecting a smaller room and went in knowing about the shared washrooms and toilets. However, the room I was in needed some major upgrades. The lock seemed to be in the middle of being replaced and, while it functioned, you could see directly through the keyhole and turning mechanism for the deadbolt into the room. Due to the placement of the bed, you could see a person sleeping from outside the room by looking through the keyhole. The room wasn't the cleanliest in the world, but fine if you're just looking for a place to sleep. It's relatively close to the main parts of Brighton, so good for a short visit.

Small simple room
Very simple room. No shower in the bathroom only a bathtub which was strange. Overall worth the very cheap price I paid.

Decent cheap digs
Right in the heart of Brighton. Decent, cheap. Would stay again. Desk was pleasant and helpful. Didn't get to sample the breakfast as it is only one hour long. Could see the pier from my window.

Worse room I ever stayed in
This has to be the worse hotel I have stayed in. The room were so bad. The toilet doors were falling apart. You can hear everyone outside your room. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was nice apart from that nothing is nice. Shower were broken. Couldn't tell which way was hot or cold. Outdated and need refurbishment I won't stay at this hotel ever again.
