Not recommended for business stays
This hotel main business is wedding receptions. They do sprecial mid week rates. Their was a wedding on the day of my stay. Consequently the music was intrusive until gone 1am and the last of the "merry" guests entered their rooms after 3.30am At no point was could I get a response from reception during or after. I'm afraid that business requirements do not "marry" with wedding events. I would not recommend a stay here whilst travelling for business reasons

Poor standard of food.
Lovely building;nice decor.Dirty sheets....like a footprint.Very little power in the shower though it did look smart. The only problem really was the dreadful food.No flavour,no seasoning, poor presentation and very expensive for what you got.

Good hotel
Hotel was under going renovation. Coffee tea was ok once I'd found it in the wardrobe. I had no wifi anywhere in the hotel. The staff were very helpful and food excellent. Although it was February the grounds were lovely to walk around

Beautiful, idyllic hotel set in gorgeous grounds
Beautiful, idyllic hotel set in gorgeous grounds in Ballynahinch. Took me 30 mins to drive to Downe for my appt. staff were great, slept like a log and was very happy. This is not a 5 star posh hotel, but it is a 5 star in the comfort, friendliness and relaxation it affords. my evening meal was lovely but could have fed 3 people!!
