Very Good8.0
Great location and service
If you want a great base for a family break with a friendly atmosphere, good position on the sea front, near the harbour and town then this is for you. Lorraine made us really welcome, the view from our room was fantastic and the breakfast was good, they also catered for my special diet needs. If you have a car you have to park on the street but or in the nearby car park but it is free from 6pm until 9am. The decor of the hotel is a little dated and needs some modernization but don't let that stop you. The rest makes up for it.

Beware
The Lynton house is very old fashioned and in need of total refurbishment. The owners are rude and disrespectful about current and previous guests. The room we had at the top of the house (60stairs up) did have lovely view however the windowcill/window is only 15inches off the floor and opens from the bottom and as this is a family room is potentially dangerous if children were in the room as It is so highup. The furniture it very 50's and needs updating, the shower only worked if you took the hose and lay it in the bathroom and once it was placed in the holder went hot, cold, hot the stopped and the procedure had to be repeated. The breakfast room is locked until breakfast was served strictly between 8.30 - 9am everyday. Overall it was very disappointing, we have been coming to Teignmouth for many years and have never experienced a guesthouse/b&b like this. We would never stay here again
