Old English Bed and Breakfast
Was a decent B&B. Like most in England, beds and bedrooms were kind of small. Service was good.

A bit cramped
Melbreak House is a typical house found in Keswick. There were 11 - 12 people staying in the house. Our room was rather crowded with one double bed and two single beds. There was not enough storage or chairs for 4 people. We had to leave some of our belongings on the spare beds and there were only two of us.. Breakfast was full English. It was cooked and served well. There was no access to a sitting room, so the only place we had after breakfast was our room. Fortunately it was good weather and we were out a lot. The manager was very pleasant and there was a lot of information about the town and area.

Melbreak house - great location.
A great location, only 5 minutes from the centre of Keswick. No B&B parking, but plenty of places to park on the street. It can get a bit cramped at weekends. The B&B building is magnificent. The B&B needs a bit of an update. It is clean and does the job as a base. The stairs and outside noise can be a bit of an issue if you are a light sleeper. As you are close to Keswick and if its warm and you want a window open to cool the room, the street noise can be annoying. The breakfast is okay and you have tea and coffee making stuff in the room.
