I have stayed here before and like the locations, the design of the hotel and the rooms. It's a bit older, meaning an old-fashioned flavor and larger rooms than chain business hotels. My only complaint is that the bathroom counter is so low I had to lean way over (came to just above my knee). The other issue is the breakfast. Not very good quality considering the generally high level of the hotel.

Comfortable hotel in a great location!
Simple, but comfortable hotel in a great location! Our room was simple, but clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. And the hotel is located in the heart of Otaru...just a short walk away from a wide variety of restaurants, stores, museums, and more.

    Comfort but not worth
Although the hotel is located besides the canal, the window view is very narrow caused me a little disappointment. Some confusion during check-in, as the hotel was being redevelop for 2nd and the 3rd block. Parking space is limited and required extra charge.

Right when we checked in, we were told that the hotel has no staff after 7 pm and that we must call their other hotel next door. Their laundry cutoff time is 4 pm, so I had some laundry prepared by 3:30 pm and had to take it to the first floor to give it to the front desk (no one could pick it up). An hour later they called me and said they were sorry, but the laundry for the day was done and they couldn't help me. So that evening while we were having dinner I had to find a local laundromat. The building next door is under construction, but they weren't that loud in the mornings. Nice view. The staff was nice, but not as helpful as we would have liked.

good location, right next to otaru canal. breakfast food not the best and had to go to the other sonia hote for breakfast. Room average and the while hotel a bit dated. if u fancy location on top of the hotel itself, its ur choice.
