Convenient for museum visit
The purpose of my visit was to go to some of the local museums. The hotel is directly adjacent to the Museum of Science and Industry, which was one of my main destinations. It is easy walking distance from other attractions including the People's Museum. It is also close to the Opera House if that is your thing. It is comfortable and clean. There is no air conditioning, which is usually not an issue, but would have been nice at the end of August. Free password protected WiFi.

excellent deal
really enjoyed my stay at the castlefield, anna and the rest of the staff were more than gracious and helpful. hotel ideally situated for nightlife. pool/gym facilities were amazing. room was massive with a lovely view. can do with some upgrading and soundproofing (could hear rooms next door) but the benefits of the hotel far outweighed that stuff, would absolutely recommend and return. wi-fi slightly sluggish but worked over all.

Enjoyable stay
Although we could hear people clearly outside our room, we enjoy our stay there. The hotel has a big gym and swimming pool downstairs.

Thumbs up from me!
The Castlefield Hotel is very well positioned. It was just a shot walk from where I was attending a conference. Staff were very helpful and friendly and advised me where I could go to dinner (I wanted to explore rather than eat at the hotel). Room was spacious, but only had a shower rather than a bath. The car park is a little small - I was lucky to get a space. Parking costs £10 a day and is validated at reception. The instant hot chocolate an biscuits were a bonus too! Would recommend staying here.
