It will be worth it
My stay at the hotel was okay, not bad but not great. I will say that all of the hotel staff that I encountered while there was very helpful and friendly especially the first night we got there. They had a map of things in the local area, asked us what we were looking forward to the most and offered suggestions. Cons: -I got a room with "breakfast included". Since it is Europe I really did not expect a hot breakfast of bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. however I did expect cereal, yogurt, etc.I was disappointed when I saw that hotel does not even having a breakfast/dining area. They just have a set up in the reception room for guest to grab pastries, fruit, and a drink. - I saw one review that mentioned the fire alarm kept going off during their stay, something similar happened to me except for it did not go off the whole time I was there just one day, about three times. -The rooms are very dark Pros: -great location. Even when I was a little bitter about the price, I had to realize that at least everything that I wanted to do was in walking distance or close to public transportation so it made up for it in the end. -friendly/helpful staff

Good value for money - excellent location
Very nice little hotel in "9 streets" area. Basically old canal house converted to apartments, as are most hotels in this area. Makes a quirky hotel. Our bed, for instance, nestled into an alcove in the room that made it difficult to make (no lower fitted sheet) and difficult to get in and out of. But it has character. And fairly inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area. No daily housekeeping service. But overall a good value.

Great place to stay!
We had an amazing stay at Canal Boutique Apartments. It was very easy to find; a quick ride on the trolly followed by a short, 5 minute walk. All of the staff were super friendly, always willing to help with whatever we needed. We were upgraded to the apartment, very spacious. The bedroom was large and the bed itself was very comfortable, one of the most comfortable we have slept on in Europe. The bathroom had a bath tub, which worked out well with our toddler! The whole place was very clean and quiet. There was construction on the corner about 4 houses down, but we never heard anything.

Decent hotel
Free unlimited coffee/tea/snacks for all guests all day. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful: helped in taking my 20 KG bag to my room two floors upstairs (where stairs were really steep and small that were half as wide as the size of my shoe). 5-7 mins walk from tram stop. 15mins walk to Dam. On negative side, room heater did not work on a really cold night. There was no good restaurant nearby. Room was quite small.
