Convenient location, nice looking hotel
The hotel has a bit of a modern design to it. The location is pretty good - next to a subway and walking distance to ramen shops, the fish market, the park, Sapporo Station, and the JR Mall. It's also nearby a bus stop to/from the airport. To be upfront, it's also nearby a bit of "red light" district behind the hotel, but that didn't seem to be a big issue. The only issue is if you don't know Japanese, the staff doesn't speak English that well which can be a little difficult when asking questions - like how to get to the airport for instance. They do try to help though as best they can. Friends were staying in a nearby hotel that was part of a more "international" chain and that one had front desk people who spoke English more fluently.

All round great.
I really like this hotel (chain)...third time I've used them. If the price is right (do your homework) it's a good choice. From Jr Sapporo train station, take the Toho line 2 stops south to Hosui Susukino, take exit 3...top of the stairs look right...it's right there 10 metres away.

Overall experience is good, except on check-out morning, a female staff called to our room at 11:05, 5 minutes passed the check-out time, she reminded us that it's time for check-out, I replied, "Okay, please give me 10 more minutes and I'll come down." Then I received a very rude and impolite reply from that staff, "HURRY UP!" and she hang up the phone. That ruined my whole stay at the hotel....... I've never been treated like this in any hotels that I had stayed before...... And I did go down to lobby to return key at 11:15.
