We love this place!
This is our second stay at the Taormina, and the hotel has been updated a good bit since 2012. The rooms were very clean and our triple room was huge! The bathrooms were new and very clean too. The beds were comfy. The breakfast is standard with coffee, cappuccino machine, various pastries, and juices. The location is right next to the Termini station and two other metro stops. You are just a short metro ride away from the major tourist sites. The hotel is in a residential part of Rome, but we felt very safe there. Don't miss the Santa Maggiore church, which is very close. Also, there are some great restaurants just a few blocks away. There are some stairs to deal with when you enter the building. We would definitely stay there again. You can't beat the value!

Good value but annoying
This hotel is good but one very annoying thing is that guest had to register through the front desk and it feels that the stuff is judging you when you bring in someone. Also there is no lift and reception is located on 2nd level so you might have to carry your luggage up all the way.

it said free wifi but was charged 2 euros for it, one key available, no cards, area was extremely noisy and not in the best neighborhood

Helpful staff, 10 to 15 minute walk to Termini, basic brrakfast of bread and spreads, but ac and wifi are all extra and hotels.com did not show info clearly at booking
