About Mercure Okinawa Naha, Naha

Stylish, contemporary hotel close to the airport

Handy, scenic location

Mercure Okinawa Naha enjoys a scenic location overlooking Ounoyama Park across the Kokuba River, and steps from the bustling shops of Kokusai Dori street. It's convenient for the airport, too: only a 10-minute drive or ride by the monorail, which stops in front of the hotel.

Walled garden, local food

The pretty walled Chinese garden of Fukushuen Garden is a 20-minute walk and features several bridges and koi ponds. At buzzing Makishi Public Market, also a 20-minute walk, you can purchase local Okinawan delicacies, particularly a wide variety of fish.

French cuisine, cocktails

You can dine on French-inspired cuisine at the spacious Bistro De La Mer, open for breakfast and lunch, and have casual drinks at the bar in the evening. The stylish lobby, with brightly colored sofas and plush rugs, is a good spot to take a short break.

Bold decor, free WiFi

The hotel's 260 stylish guestrooms feature vibrant fabrics and chic patterned wallpaper behind beds. Handy in-room amenities include free WiFi, flat-screen TVs with international and pay-per-view movies, plus an electric kettle.

New Home Away from Home
We often must travel to Okinawa often to check on family there. We searched out the Mercure on Hotels.com because another booking service left us unsatisfied. What a thrill to be able to secure a room at such a fine hotel on short notice. Check in was fast and efficient. The lobby/front is large enough to accommodate large groups of travelers. There are four large parking towers in back available 24/7. One daily price will let you come/go multiple times. The Yui Monorail Station is just fifty steps away. A 24/7 FamilyMart convenience store twenty steps away with an excellent coin laundry just beyond. The property is well laid out and serviced by three responsive elevators. I did not see anywhere areas in need of service or repair. We started out with an economy room which was on the small side but still larger than most Japanese “business” hotels. When typhoon and earthquakes (northern Japan) delayed our departure date we upgraded to the larger room which was well worth the small additional cost. Housekeeping staff accomplished their tasks without being in the way. If we needed anything all we had to do was ask. No need to work through the front desk. The beds were firm with a soft top soft layer and the linens superb. Thank you. There is a on site restaurant that looked interesting but we did not have a chance to try it. Whether by car or by rail or taxi Naha Airport is only twelve minutes away. What a “treasure find”. Thank you Mercure, our new home away from home.

Small clean room, one night stay.
Only stayed one night, room was clean, small but that seems to be the standard in Okinawa 2 twin beds with about 2ft between window, bed-bed and wall. Small desk and TV, bathroom is what I like to call “airplane bathroom” plastic One annoying thing was the lights turn on with the room key only, if I took the key out of the slot inside the rooom, lights would all go off! took me a couple of minutes to figure out that they could also be turned on and off from a lamp switch. Instructions about that at the front desk could’ve been helpful. $10 parking fee and $16 per person for breakfast (which we didn’t have) There is a car rental desk at the main lobby, very convenient.
