Great hotel, good value.
We went for the Olympics and they had great service. The doorman was always waiting for you and would assist you in finding a taxi. Also they had many workers that either spoke English very well or knew enough to easily talk to them. The walk to the beach is very nice, and there are several great restaurants right next to the hotel. I would definitely recommend the Windsor Copa to anyone visiting.

Excellent hotel (not luxury but very pleasant)
For its category (fine, but not luxury), this hotel is excellent. Wifi was very fast and never let us down in four days using it. Service is great, staff is very efficient and polite. Breakfast is very good, with lots of quality options. Room service was efficient and the food was good. Just one short block from Copacabana beach. Very central, lots of transportation options.

Screw the American - watch out US citizens!
I reserved a room for 10 nights and then found out, due to the length of time to secure a Brazilian visa, I had to delay my trip for 5 days. The hotel would not change the dates of my reservation DIR to it being a non-refundable room rate. They refused to make any accomodation and charged me extra as I added a travel companion at check in. Staff were discourteous, unfriendly and did nothing to make me feel comfortable or welcome during my stay. Yes it was Carnavale and rooms were at a premium (my rate jumped from $85 US to $250 US during my stay) but the attitude was one of "let's screw the American." This attitude is prevalent in Rio and is disgusting! I will not return to this property or any other hotel managed by Windsor in Brazil!
