The room I stayed in was OK and I have no complaints. It had a great view and was clean and well maintained. The part that it was a little bit weird to me was that the property was not at the address on Hotels.com. The actual address was emailed to me the day before I checked in. The address that I was given was a couple blocks off and was not in a particularly great part of town. The room itself was great. The experience getting to it was a little odd, but the company was very responsive. During a busy time in Toronto, it was affordable and clean.

I had to wait outside and then in the lobby to meet the guy. I finally got my key and instructions, went to the room, unpacked a bit, got undressed to take a shower, and then loud banging on the door. The guy is telling me it’s the wrong room and I have to be out in 5 minutes! This was very shocking and unpleasant. The new room wasn’t as good, not like the one pictured here, but good enough. The slippery shower should have a grab bar. Location is excellent.

The condo unit was clean and relatively spacious. The bedrooms were quite small with very little room to store anything, such as a suitcase and clothing. The vertical blind covering the sliding glass door leading to the balcony was missing many slats thus there was too much excessive light coming into the condo after dark. The small balcony did not have a table or any chairs.

This organization operates their reservations in a misleading/fraudulent manner. I used Hotels.com to find a rental property for a business trip last week. I found this property which they indicated was at one address on Jarvis St. in Toronto. I paid and received an email confirmation of my reservation at that property address. Only when I went to their site to complete my online check in did I find that they had shifted my reservation 7 blocks to the north to another property which was not within easy walking distance of my meetings. When I reached out to be placed in the original property they informed me they had the right to shift customers to a "comparable property generally in the same area". If they had disclosed the property they ultimately placed me in I would not have booked and paid. By the time I found out, it was too late for me to change. They should not be allowed to do this. As customers, we certainly should have the right to know what property we are reserving. In addition to being misled, I had to incur unplanned public transport and rideshare costs.

Overall this was a clean, well maintained efficiency apartment style accommodations, with nothing that would prevent a future stay. It is in an emerging area - with mainly positive vibes. The good and the bad… Good: affordable well maintained and generous room size; while outside the main downtown- it was centrally located and within walking or public transit to lots of activities; large tv with Roku; relatively quiet. Easy access to a range of dining options. Since there is no front desk check-in, It was a little long to check-in, but I called later than suggested by the instructions. Using WA for service was timely and responsive, but I didn’t encounter any issues, so have no thoughts about response times etc. Bad: shades don’t fully block out sun, so morning sun woke me up; rooms with balcony should be a good, but the balconies are not well maintained with sparse and unclean furnishing for them; only a single key fob for access, so it’s inconvenient if lost or forgotten; traffic into and out of the building is very heavy at certain times creating long wait times for elevators… Yes, I would stay here again. Yes, I would suggest for others looking to get out of the expense of downtown…
