A step back in time
A prospective guest needs to keep in mind that this is an 18th century stone farmhouse. It is an amazing atmosphere, but you can't expect modern decor and conveniences.

Great place to relax and let life slow down
We had a very comfortable stay here during our holiday. Very beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The staff was great, they do keep a low profile though. The breakfast was fine. This is a great place to relax and unwind a bit. We even made friends with the pair of very friendly old dogs that hang around the back!

Easy to get to Bristol airport
I had a comfortable room in a beautiful old house and gardens , and walked the country lanes before turning in for the night. As there was no restaurant within walking distance, I took food for an evening meal with me and ate at one of the tables in the garden. The host booked my taxi for a 5.45 am arrival at the airport and I was there in five minutes of leaving Meadow cottage. It all worked just fine!

Beautiful, but so Inconvenient
First of all, did you note the check in time? 5.30pm. If you arrive a minute early even after emailing with the proprietor, you're screwed. This place is very close to Bristol airport, so we made it our last stop. After being asked out arrival time by the proprietor, we explained that we had to leave at 2am for a flight and intended on arriving and going right to sleep. We arrived 15 min early and no one was there. Literally not there. They were accessible by their posted phone number, nothing. When they did arrive to let us in, we needed directions to any restaurant or even a gas station because there was nothing close to the house. If you're looking to have a long relaxing weekend and don't care about being close to anything, this place is beautiful, and the bed is comfy. If you're looking for a place to spend the night before or especially after a flight, don't do it. If you need to be on a schedule, you'll regret it, but hey you'll sleep well once you finally get into that bed!
