The room has been very well done, though the pub itself is a little tired. We were, however, impressed with the way the present owners have plans to make improvements

Pleasant Country Inn
We enjoyed our three days at YOCCI and would return. The premises are really interesting spread over three former buildings dating back over four hundred years and with the accommodation opposite the Inn in a modernised converted barn. We had several meals and breakfasts, all to a good standard, pub food rather than gourmet. Staffing has been an issue but in hand with the tenant couple working hard to make it all work. Good free parking at rear, pool, darts and Sky if wanted, and good beers on tap. Some dusty surfaces but allowed for cleaner being off ill.

OK Stay
Some aspects were very good - the annex bedroom was lovely and warm on a very cold day, plenty of hot water, toiletries and tea & coffee. Lovely open fires in the pub. Breakfast was nicely cooked, though very basic, served in the pub lounge where we has been drinking beer the night before. Cleaners were vacuuming in the next room and the smell of cleaning materials was evident. Not conducive to a relaxing breakfast I'm afraid. Landlady was friendly, though staff the day before had been rather off hand when booking in. Not a bad experience but far from great either.

Comfy room across the road from a cosy and welcoming pub, whose beer and food were wonderful. Definitely recommended!
