Fun Amsterdam location
Very friendly and helpful staff! No breakfast, but there's a great bakery right outside the door! Loved the upstairs flat we rented for 2 days. Watch out for steep windy steps though! Lots of character in a great area, and free use of the bikes in the bike shop where you check in!

Comfortable and near everything
This small hotel is a short distance from the Central train station and very near the Dam square in Amsterdam. It is not a fancy hotel, and the rooms are all up a flight of stairs, but our room was quite large, had a small kitchenette and a large bathroom. It was very comfortable. The rooms are situated on a side street but on weekends, if you leave the windows open, the noise from the main streets is audible and not unexpected--Amsterdam is a big city. The hotel is above a bike shop and hotel guests can use bikes at no cost. It is a short walk to an excellent bakery that serves coffee and tea and breakfast food as well as lots of faster food options.
