It’s a great hotel but location is not that great if you wanna be close to everything. I guess it’s good and bad but would I stay there again, YES. Just costs 300 baht to get into town.

Recently stayed in their private villa w/private infinity pool. Accommodations were comfortable and finely appointment. However, in terms of service (especially at this price point) I feel The Shore at Katathani beats Kalima, hands down. Kalima employees unfortunately don't exert the same outgoing cheerfulness and level of passion for their work, as do the employees at Katathani. Especially whenever you request a ride to your room after hours, you almost feel to be a bother. perhaps the fact that I visited during the high season contributed to the lack of personalized attention. But nevertheless, I don't feel their level of service reflected the price point.

Nice hotel for the price. I've paid three as much for a equivalent hotel in the past, so the price for us is very affordable. Breakfast selections are pretty awesome and tasty. Staff was really nice and helpful. Pool was beautiful, overlooking the ocean, with a swim up bar. I wouldn't say this is a 5 stars hotel, but it is certainly a 4 stars hotel.

The hotel is located with a beautiful view over Patong beach, but a bit far from town. Nice big rooms and friendly staff. The only negative we have is the shuttle bus, which do not leave very often.
