Large onsen hotel I the middle of Kusatsu onsen
This is a large onsen hotel. I was looking for a smaller onsen ryokan. You can't tell from the pictures because they don't show the outside. The Washoku dinner and the onsen were pretty good, but I will look for a better location next time.

In the heart of the action, live like a local.
The hotel is a bit tired with very few western visitors but the staff go out of their way to look after you. The Japanese style rooms are great for getting into the spirit. Location is unbeatable, would happily stay here again.
