Due to being off season, no staff personelle, to ask for directions, to get from West side to East side. We never found one of the pools, that would have been great for our little ones. No movies at night although, the sheet showing where they normally show movies, was set up. Plus, they were people smoking pipes and big smelly cigars, that was outside their rooms, next to the swimming pool.

Bait and Switch
Booked a suite with 3 beds, as shown by photo. Received suite with 2 beds and a sleeper sofa. Those who believe them equivalent should be condemned to the sleeper for several years. No windows in suite. Whole facility needs reinvestment to upgrade from 80s/90s decor and beds.

Very enjoyable weekend!
It was a great off season bargain. The area was quiet and stunningly beautiful. We walked, shopped, kayaked. Just driving around was a treat. The resort was accommodating and the staff friendly.

Good enough for me, but not for everyone
The staff at Schlitterbahn were very helpful. The rooms were, well, interesting. I wound up with two rooms (long story). One was a fairly recently remodeled room with all the basic amenities, clean and serviceable. The other was basically a cabin: two apartments sharing a kitchen, would sleep 12. This room was very old, in desperate need of updating. To say that it was 'unclean' would be incorrect: it's just really old. Kind of like visiting my grandmother's house. It was really more of a camp atmosphere, rather than like a hotel. The beds were OK. Bathrooms very small and old. Lighting rather dark. Carpets old and well worn. I appreciated the full kitchen and large porch with table and chairs: wound up using this for an unexpected party! The property is attached to a huge water park. You cannot stay here and expect it to be a Hilton or a 5 star all inclusive upscale resort. It's not. I'm sure in peak season, it's insanely busy and full of people and kids. It's well lived in! Note that it isn't particularly disability friendly. Parking lots are rather dark. There are trains running nearby which may bother some people. Close enough to charming places like Gruene, San Antonio, or Austin. Deer everywhere: be careful driving in the evening! Being there in the off season, it was very quiet, almost deserted. If you're looking for a basic place to stay, this will work. If you are looking for a high end hotel, this is not for you.

Don't be fooled
When I checked in they gave me a room already occupied. Then the next room I received had mold all over the bathroom. The shower barely drained. Fan and ice machine were broke. The pictures on here are the Galveston location and new braunsfield looks nothing the same. Big wasp nest rite outside are room. The softit outside was molded and rotted away.
