Overall a good hotel for the area. WiFi was great and so is the location. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

OK Hotel was better than OK.
We loved this place for our night in Reykjavik. We had a room on the street side, which was perfect for us. Parking was a little tricky, but we were able to make it work. Lots of shopping and dining and sightseeing within walking distance.

Slightly Above OK
Disclaimer: our first time in Reykjavik. Did expect a 'traditional hotel' based on the name, was surprised that it was more of a guest house which appears to be quite common in that city. I liken it to being in between air b&b and a boutique hotel. That being said, after we got over not meeting our traditional hotel check in desk, check in process (done remotely over a desk phone) and lobby and housekeeping only every 3 days (we did get over these items rather quickly), I would recommend this place: -good location (walking distance to city center and all sites, but not crazy busy or loud) -spacious -decor is interesting/funky/fun, but found it to be comfortable -clean -great option for the kitchen -price is reasonable -shuttle service was easy -customer service (given it was done over the phone) is friendly Read the fine print so you know what to expect, book this 'hotel' and enjoy.

False Advertising
Let me start by saying that the location of OK hotel is wonderful. That is the last positive thing I have to say about my experience staying here. It is not a hotel. There is no concierge, manager, or staff onsite AT ALL. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were buzzed in by an off-site office and had to call a number to check in. They gave us a code to a safe where our room keys were - along with all other room keys!! Anyone could have taken a key and had access to our room. The room was booked for three people and upon check-in we were asked how many people would be staying there (seriously?) and when we got to our room it was only set up for two people. Every day we were calling the off-site office for towels, toilet paper, etc. since the room was only cleaned once during our weeklong stay. The Wi-Fi was horrible and would not connect to my devices for several days. There was no way to control the heat/cool in our room besides opening a window on our ceiling so our room was always HOT (it rains a lot in Reykjavik). Calling it a hotel is false advertising. I DO NOT recommend staying here.
