False Advertising
Let me start by saying that the location of OK hotel is wonderful. That is the last positive thing I have to say about my experience staying here. It is not a hotel. There is no concierge, manager, or staff onsite AT ALL. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were buzzed in by an off-site office and had to call a number to check in. They gave us a code to a safe where our room keys were - along with all other room keys!! Anyone could have taken a key and had access to our room. The room was booked for three people and upon check-in we were asked how many people would be staying there (seriously?) and when we got to our room it was only set up for two people. Every day we were calling the off-site office for towels, toilet paper, etc. since the room was only cleaned once during our weeklong stay. The Wi-Fi was horrible and would not connect to my devices for several days. There was no way to control the heat/cool in our room besides opening a window on our ceiling so our room was always HOT (it rains a lot in Reykjavik). Calling it a hotel is false advertising. I DO NOT recommend staying here.

Pleasant hotel in a great location
Overall, the OK Hotel is in a great location, the staff (albeit via telephone) were helpful and polite, and the rooms were large and comfortable. However, it should be noted that there is no front desk or regular on-site staff. Generally, this fact was not an issue during our stay other than creating a slightly complex check-in and making it difficult to acquire items like extra toilet paper. Despite that complication, I would certainly stay here again on a return trip to Reykjavik.

A Unique Place to Stay
The room was great. The two big surprised were 1. the smell of the water. This is not the hotels fault, it is just the nature of Icelandic water. It has a sulfur smell that came as a surprise. I am guessing most to all hotels in the area will smell that way. The biggest surprise was this is not a traditional hotel. There is no front desk. It was incredibly difficult to decode where the hotel was, how to get in, etc. It felt like we were detectives trying to figure out a puzzle. Not bad, just surprising. It is also not a traditional hotel in they do not make up your room everyday. So supplies were not always readily available. We did enjoy our stay and you really couldn't beat the location and the unique decor. I would recommend this hotel but I would want to make sure people knew what they were walking into so they aren't caught off guard.

Kick back
It is a very nice place and service was prompt. My TV went down and they were there within the hour. There is no on site staff. It is self-check-in which is easy but when unexpected was a little confusing....but we survived LOL. The room was comfortable and the location is ideal.

Good hotel for the cost.
Pretty good hotel for its price. Def has some character to it. Visited for a bachelor party and the staff was very polite.
