Good location and good value
The hotel was centrally located. The room was clean. It did have a weird smell but I think that had to do with the sulfur smell of the water which is normal in Iceland. The free Wi-Fi was great. The restaurant was not open yet but you could sit in there and wait for any bus or shuttle for excursions which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable for three. This was a very reasonably priced hotel for its location which was right on the main shopping and restaurant street.

More than OK Hotel
While the check in process wasn't traditional it was super simple. The location is downtown and super convenient to everything. The hotel it self had a really cool and chic feel to it. Our room (room d) had random encyclopedia pages plastered to two sides of the wall. TV worked great, shower had a good pressure. The retractable skylight over the bed was really cool. it was a great room at a great value and would definitely stay there again

Perfect Location, lovely little hotel
The hotel was lovely. The location was just so convenient, right on the main street. Everything you'd need is nearby. The room was cozy, warm and bigger than expected. A tip for other travelers - The hotel was difficult to find at first. It does not have an easy-to-find front door, lobby nor front desk. You can check in by pressing the call button by the entrance, and someone will help you with the check-in. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room I stayed had a microwave, dishes, wine glasses, coffee maker (with coffee and tea), utensils and a refrigerator - nice! I'd stay again!

Just OK
I would categorize my stay as just "OK." Though I read that the hotel didn't have a traditional reception staff, it still felt off-putting to arrive and have to navigate check in at a very late hour without any other human being around. It was also unfortunate that the bar/restaurant was closed for renovation, as it added to an even further "ghost town" kind of vibe that the place had. That said, it was a good option for an economical stay and my stay was decent - save for the issues I had with wifi, which I found unreliable. I had to resort to a nearby cafe to get some work done during my stay.

Great apartment hotel
First of all, it's kind of hard to find this place. It's in the K-bar (that is under renovations, though unseen at the moment). So if you find that bar, then you're at the right spot. It's kind of an odd place - they have 24 hour reception, but there is no one there. You will go through a series of puzzles in order to get your room key. It's really not a big deal, just be prepared that no one will be there. The room was really nice except for a few things. 1. The toliet lid was broken and was just laying on the toilet, so I had to move it off. 2. The fire extingisher was right by the front door and I about fell over it when we first walked in. 3. The spare bed (which was a foam couch) was not made up. For the amount of money that I had to pay (which was a ton), I would think that they could at least make up the bed before we get there. 4. There is some business across the road that got a delivery at 4:30 am and it lasted for 2 or 3 hours. It was so loud so I couldn't sleep and I even had a sound machine. The next morning it didn't happen, maybe a fluke or a certain day of the week. Pluses: The staff were nice and let me leave my luggage there for several hours. And they answered their phone promptly. It was a great location to a grocery store, many restaurants (try the noodle station, so yummy) and shops and the coast. Also the decoration of the room was amazing!!!
