Good stay at B3 Virrey hotel in Bogota!
It was fine. The romos-- so stark White with red doors reminds me of a fire station. The lights are too low and when I asked to get a overhead light fixed above the desk, that repair never happened. But the overall nieghborhood is great, parks interesting, the elevators in the hotel fast and the service very good.

The real truth about hotel B3 Virrey
Hotel is great and a perfect place to stay. Breakfast is good and the very friendly staff would do anything to satisfy your needs. This hotel is very popular with foreigners from all over the world. Bogota is cold at night and for this reason you may need a heater which the hotel will provide. Because of its popularity with foreigners, criminals may tag tourists to target for robbery. I was a victim of their scam on Saturday February 17, 2018 just few blocks away from the hotel by fake police officers who robbed me of money and cell phone. So be careful. Colombia does not have police officers in plain clothes just like you may see in the U.S. so do not cooperate with anybody who claims to be a police if this person doesn’t have his uniform on with a certain numbers written on that uniform. Insist that the hotel shows you visually how a real police officer look like to avoid any scammers roaming the streets of Bogota as police. If not, you may be a victim just like me. And I repeat it again and again: INSIST on this with the hotel staff for a real description, not this tiny little card seating on the opposite side of the front desk among other papers and newspapers. INSIST and watch out
