Comfortable, Affordable and Good Location
We arrived from Zuhai China. The bus dropped at the China side of the border and you go through immigration procedures: China and Macau. Once not he other side a guard told us to take a Casino bus (Sofitel Ponte 16- purple bus), which is free and the Casino is 2 blocks north from the hotel. The hotel shares the building with the Customs, it looks worn out, however, the interior is well kept; the windows from the rooms open to an inside court, and some to the river side of the building. The room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast not included. Location is good: within walking distance to downtown, including St Paul's Church. Lots of places to eat there. Good links for transportation (we went to HKG via ferry: bus 3A and 10 right in front of the hotel door- $ 3.2 HKD cost).

Try Another One
Staff didn't know how to complete the check-in process. They made several mistakes before checking me in. Every time I talked to the front desk became a big deal. They didn't know how to process credit card transactions, asked for a cash deposit, made a big deal about lending me an electrical adapter and umbrella etc. Location is not bad but there should be better places to stay in Macau.

Relatively inexpensive hotel in a good location
Macau Masters is a no frills hotel located 5 to 10 minutes away from the historical district. The room was clean and comfortable with good TV and free Wifi. Front desk people were friendly but did not have many specific recommendations about what to see or where to eat. Bus transportation is right outside the front door. However less than a 10 minute walk away is the tourism center at Senado Square where the people are quite helpful.

OK, but beware this hotel's harsh check out policy
An ok hotel if your travel plans have you leaving on a morning or early afternoon flight. They suck for late check out policy. Even though most guests check in late afternoon, or like me very late in evening, they do not give any time past normal check out for free. First hour past check out is expensive, any more requires a full day at rack rate - ouch !!! A place like this should be a lot more friendly to business travelers who have varied schedules, especially for a place like Macau that never seems to sleep.

Good location.
Got upgrade from two twin rooms to one family room which is bigger and spacious. Elevator needs a key card to use for safety. There's a 24 hours supermarket nearby.
