Great place to stay out of the city!
I was in Brisbane for work, but the atmosphere at Villa Franklin allowed me to relax while working. It was out of the bustle of the city and provided a serene place to relax when not working. The owners were very helpful.

Very Good
Beautiful small hotel in a fantastic location
Beautiful property in a great location, but I'm not sure if it will continue to be a hotel for long as it is currently for sale. I stayed in the Loft room, which has a couple of comfortable couches for relaxing and enjoying the view of the city. The 2 biggest drawbacks to that particular room was all the stairs and the bathroom. Due to the roof there isn't a proper shower in the en-suite, which some people might find difficult, however there is a comfortable looking bath. The house is stunning, the managers friendly, and there is a nice atmosphere. The continental breakfast is fine, but has limited hours, so may not be available if you are planning an early checkout. It is an short walk to the West End shops and restaurants and an easy walk to Southbank.

Our stay was very relaxing and the atmosphere peaceful. It was hard to believe how close we were to the city. Our hosts were delightful. The room very comfortable.

Highly recommended
My brother and I stayed here for two nights. The house, built in the 1890s, is absolutely beautiful. Eating breakfast on the verandah in the morning sunshine was delightful. There is free internet which I haven't come across in the several hotels we are staying in across the state. I highly recommend this accommodation.
