Wonderful stay
We travelled around the UK for two weeks and the quality of our stay here rates at the very top. The friendly and professional staff that greeted us and helped us during our stay was wonderful. The breakfast was one of our favorites throughout our journey. The location and the room was fantastic. Looking out from our hotel window to see that cathedral view was breathtaking and I couldn't help smiling each time I heard the bells toll. The room was clean and spacious. There is no question that the next time we travel to Canterbury, we will be staying here!

Amazing view and friendly staff
We loved our stay at the lodge. It was so pleasant and nice. The room was clean and well prepared. The bathroom was amazing...nice good water pressure from the shower and plenty of hot water. The English breakfast (included in the price) was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The view of the cathedral was amazing!! I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful and convenient setting, but the hotel is nothing special. Definitely not enough electrical outlets in the rooms.

It's so good -- I hope it doesn't get overbooked
Fabulous stay. This is one of the best places to stay in a town full of good spots. I hope it doesn't get overbooked because I will always want to book here. Don't want rowdy guests; they would spoil the environment. Staying on the Cathedral grounds is such a special treat, topped off by a first-rate hotel, delicious breakfast, and such helpful and friendly staff. Gets my top rating.

Very Good8.0
Ideal Location, Friendly But Quite Basic Rooms
Ideally located for the cathedral (it is in their grounds and you get free access) with friendly check-in and a really good breakfast (the Nordic Eggs Benedict was great). Very quiet at night with all rooms overlooking a garden courtyard. Nice to see freely refillable glass water bottles rather than generating plastic waste from disposables. That said: - a bit difficult to find by car and you need to call ahead to reserve a parking space (there are not enough for all guests so you may be shunted to one of the council ones nearly for an additional £6) - the rooms are really conference-style seemingly for visiting clergy so basic decor, fairly worn furniture and hanging space rather than a wardrobe Overall pretty good though.
