    Great choice for Rome
Love this place for all of Rome. Trolly stop across from the entrance, fine dining nearby, and the Borghese Park directly across the street. And don't forget the kitchenette!

Choose wisely the month to stay in Rome.
The overall experience was very good. While the individual furnishings were adequate, some updates are needed in Room 403. We stayed there during the warmest month of the year, since the ceiling was high (approximately 15 feet) the air conditioning was not capable of keeping the room cool. The average room temperature during our stay was 78 degrees which made for uncomfortable sleeping at night. The outside temperature averaged about 76 degrees at night and there was no opportunity to open the windows to assist with th cooling down of the room. The one single air conditioner was not adequate. Understanding that the Hotel has no control over the outside temperature and humidity, one should plan their stay there during the months that are not the hottest weather for the area. For me that will be April-May or October-November. When returning to Rome, I will definitely consider staying at the Aldrovandi Residence City Suites in the future. Respectfully submitted.

The pool (and staff) might be worth the Ubers.
This hotel is overpriced and has a poor location for tourist stuff in Rome, HOWEVER, the pool is great and the outside bartender was so friendly and accommodating she made up for the other faults. The room is large and was clean, but the location was not near anything we wanted to do, however, I’m so glad we stayed there! On the 15 minute walk home from the nearest restaurant we passed a random party outside of the Modern Art Museum and the live band and lively locals made that night magical and unforgettable. I only stayed at this hotel because the other hotel I booked in Rome was so bad I had to leave and gave me a rebate for a new hotel or I wouldn’t have spent so much. But I’m really glad I did. I’m also glad I didn’t stay here the whole length of my trip because it’s out of the way and not near any touristy things. The pool is amazing and the lady at the pool bar was so friendly and accommodating, I would stay here again just to chat with her some more.

    Get an Airbnb instead
There is only one reason to stay at this hotel: you want a pool. Other than that, you want to be in a much more vibrant area, in a nicer hotel. If you need a kitchen, get an airbnb near the Pantheon and thank me later. We've been to Rome many times but chose this hotel because we knew our kids would be hot and crabby after busy mornings and would enjoy a pool. Except this pool is overseen by the Pool Nazi. But if you're an adult, are virtually silent and like a frigid pool, this is the pool for you. The location is grim; the joy of Rome is popping around the corner for a cappuccino, espresso, pizza, etc. There is NOTHING here. We are city people and walk 8-10 miles daily but the walk back into town is miserable. Unpaved sidewalks, cars flying by, we grew to dread it. Breakfast is totally fine and front desk staff is very nice. One of our three rooms was pretty awful, but the other two rooms were charming in an old Italian pensione kind of way. Tired, but very Italian. We knew much of this going in, but in hindsight, I should have just booked a charming Airbnb in town and let my kids watch iPads when they were beat.
