Nice place but “part time”
Nice place. But the staff seem to think they may run a hotel part time. The reception is only open from 14:00 - 18:00, and if you arrive later you need to notify the staff; which I tried to do by sms a couple of days ahead. No answer. I also tried to call. No answer. Luckily I got an answer when phoning on the day of arrival. I was told nobody would be there, but to locate the room which would be open with keys inside. They failed to notify me about the internet password, so I didn’t get to connect until the following day at 2 p.m. Not very forward thinking, if you ask me. The place was clean. Nice beds and great comforters.

an interesting old fashioned hotel
It was a good stay in a beautiful old fishing village that became a famous Danish and Scandinavian artists colony in the late 19th and early 20th century. Today the town is a busy fishing port and resort town and is well worth seeing. The hotel was walking distance from everything and the people that ran it were very sweet. The hotel is old fashioned so some amenities are lacking, such as ice (we bought a bag of ice in the supermarket), and the reception was often closed during the day so it was not easy to get information or ask questions, etc. The room was fine and the breakfast very good and I would recommend it.

Cute little hotel in Skagen
This hotel is perfect for a short stay in Skagen. It is a 5 minute walk from Skagen station and the town centre. You can also easily walk to the beach and hike up to the northern tip of Denmark where the two seas meet. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. My only complaints would be that there is no elevator and the Wi-Fi isn't very good. But I was satisfied nonetheless.
