Great place to relax off the beaten track
Great food and service just out of town. Beautiful, quiet surroundings, with friendly folks in the pub/restaurant, and local ciders on tap. The rooms are good, well constructed in a separate building from the pub, and very quiet.

Super Place
Great little place off the beaten path for our last night in Europe before going to Airport the next morning.

Quiet Chiltern village location
It was my second stay. The guest accommodation is a purpose-built block of four en-suite rooms across the car park from the pub. Staff are friendly and the bar is everything you might want from a village put - plus excellent food. Comfortable, but it lacks a space to 'hang out.' If you are with friends, as I was, and want to relax together, you either have to go into someone's bedroom or into the bar.

Convenient to Heathrow
This was a convenient place to stay for one night prior to our overseas return flight home. It was convenient to Heathrow airport and reaonably priced which were our priorities. The dinner menu was limited but the food was good and breakfast was very good. Overall a good value hotel.

Enjoy the welcome and the food
At first I was disappointed: A large container in the parking area containing freezer and kitchen equipment, construction going on, and the guest rooms were in a block away from the pub. My room had black damp stains on the bathroom ceiling and paint peeled at the base of the door post. However, although I am sensitive to mould, I didn't get an allergic reaction so it was probably ok. On the positive side, the welcome was great. A young couple and their friends were working hard on the project - from the bar to the kitchen to the construction work. The welcome was warm, the beer was good, the food was superb (lamb shank, grey mullet, and desserts to die for.)
