At 12:45 am on 10/31, I was awaken by screaming, yelling, suitcases being drug around and what sounded like furniture being knocked over. This went on for the rest of the night. Apparently the police showed up around 1:30 am, but the occupants next door all of a sudden got quiet and didn't open the door. The "police" left after about 10 minutes - I'm not really sure if they were the police or who they were. It all started up again around 3 am with doors being slammed and yelling from multiple people. I finally fell asleep and at 7 am I woke up and could still hear people talking very loud and arguing. I packed my bags and hung out at the airport for the rest of the morning until my flight departed. This was the WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel in my life. The worst thing was, when I went to checkout and asked for a refund, I was told they couldn't because the room was booked through Expedia. I had to chat with Expedia (couldn't find a phone number) the next day, 11/1 and was told they would look into it and get back to me within 72 hours. I just received an email this morning (11/13) and was told that "the hotel has advised they will only honor the original cancellation policy and have declined your refund request". This doesn't have anything to do with canceling the reservation, just what happened during the stay. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this property when staying in Key West.
