Truly a gem!
I can't give enough praise for this hotel. From the moment we walked in, we were mesmerized by the design and all that Downtown has to offer. We skipped half of our activities one day just to enjoy the hotel itself - the restaurant downstairs is one of the best in the city with a top chef, the boutique stores have some of the best hidden treasures you can find, and the terrace with bar and pool is relaxing with a chic atmosphere. The rooms itself are incredibly spacious and very clean. The bed is very comfortable (which is important, since there can be a lot of noise from the street/parties/bars - use the earplugs they provide - but any amount of noise is still worth the amazing stay). I took the best bubble baths of my life in the separate bathtub area. The best part of the hotel is the design - every detail is so well thought out and unique to the hotel. A true luxury stay in the heart of Mexico City, very centrally located and I loved waking up to the views of the gorgeous, historic buildings right outside my balcony. You can't get that same regal feeling in other neighborhoods! I even toured other hotels around the city out of curiosity (as a design aficionado) and I will definitely be returning to Downtown Mexico. The food, atmosphere, and service are stellar.

Downtown is exactly as it's name implies. It's downtown Mexico City. The convenience of being so centrally located was perfect for my trip. Many sites within easy walking distance or just plain strolling. The staff was great and the restaurants offered up great eating.
