This is a great boutique hotel to stay in at the historical center, with a very attentive staff.

I prefer much better small boutique hotels than the big corporations. This hotel was the Palace of an important colonial family from the 1800s in Mexico. If you stay there, you will experience that “trip in time”.

It’s a beautiful property but of course it comes down to the people. Food was good and naturally so was the Mexican coffee. I’m sure it’s a wonderful spot when there are no Covid restrictions.

Ihuge, beautiful property with a great location. The food is excellent and the drinks also. I would recommend people visit the hotel restaurant Azul as it is lovely. The kitchen and waiters were all top notch. Some things I found frustrating: Reception at this hotel needs a major re training. First, I should explain I am a young female traveling alone. However I am a paying customer. I am not sure if this impacted my first days at the hotel or not any the lackadaisical service I got from reception . First when I got to the hotel the man at the front desk did not understand how to convert dollars to pesos for card payment. He overcharged me three times the cost and then reimbursed me. This almost led to my card being canceled. I had to contact my bank and it created an ordeal. After explaining my frustration he Upgraded my room. However I had to ask “after this mistake what can your hotel do?” and since that was a pretty extreme service error on his part I think he should have offered without my having to ask. No one communicated to me that breakfast was included with my stay until the last day. No one offered me a brochure of the hotels amenities or anything. No one told me the room service hours. I had to look them all up online. no phone numbers to the front desk posted in the room, and I had to ask for a business card to communicate with the front desk. There was no microwave access. There were limited TV channels. Grade B-

    historic and hip.

i'll add to the other reviews here about the hip design and coolness of the accommodations. Though in the middle of downtown CDMX, this was perhaps the quietest room I've experienced, a function of solid brick walls, floor and ceiling. it permitted playing the Bluetooth speakers without disturbing the others. Also, the shops on the second floor are you better quality handicrafts and artisan and definitely worth a visit. The first floor restaurant and the chocolate shop on the second floor are top notch. breakfast was easy and served on the same floor as the hotel rooms. very trendy, but the service was warm, gentle, welcoming and kind.
