Nice place, but not really worth it in the winter.
It's set in a beautiful desert near little Petra, in the middle of nowhere. It would be perfect if there's more people, and if it's warmer. I was by myself, and the camp only had another couple traveller. It's so very cold, I've never felt so cold in my life, but sitting around the bonfire helped a bit. The staff is very nice. But the dinner was a disappointment, I'm vegetarian, the dinner was a plate of cold vegetables and some bread, which is fine, but not worth the price of 20JD. I went to another camp after this, one in Wadi Rum, and it was so much better, with good warm cooked food, and so much cheaper compared to this. (I spent 50JD for a night stay, because it was so cold, and there was nothing to do but go to bed super early. While at Wadi rum camp, we drove around the desert for a whole day, visited lots of sites and climing, great food, and warm tent, it cost me 60JD) In short, it's a nice place, I can imagine it to be great in the summer, but I wouldn't recommend if you want a desert experience, esp if you plan to visit wadi rum anyway.

EXCELLENT "Rugged" Experience
Amazing experience. This is NOT a Four-Star Hotel (in terms of plush comfort). I gave it this rating b/c of the overall experience. This is basically a glorified campsite - you sleep in a Bedouin tent about 15 minutes outside Petra. The beds aren't the softest or luxurious, but way better than a sleeping bag. They have a bathroom/showers available at the camp site. Again not luxury but perfect for the experience. The setting is stunning and the experience is amazing! The authentic Bedouin feast you are treated to at the end of the night is one of the BEST meals I've had in the Middle East (and I am Middle Eastern!) And the Staff - very nice and helpful!

Stay 29th December 2014
We enjoyed the stay. Tent was nice and clean. Dinner was great. But we think they should do more out of the evening. Its in the middle of nowhere and all lights goes off at 9pm. We think they should have the light on until 11 pm. And the fireplace outdoor should also maintained until 11 pm. They should spend some time to tell us about the life of the beduines or teach us about the fantastic stars we see when it gets dark. And some more live entertainment.
