A bit underwhelmed by this hotel
This was our second stay in Waikiki. I regretted not booking a hotel right on the ocean, but this hotel is a fairly good deal for being 2 bloacks away from the water. Do not pay extra to get a partial ocean view room. We stayed on the 13th floor and had a big balcony, but we could barely see the ocean at all. Our room was way too small for a week-long stay (no room to put our 1 big suitcase or carry-ons). Some of the floors were under complete construction, so the overall condition wasn’t great. The elevator walls were covered in construction tarp. Staff was very nice. The resort fee is a bit outrageous knowing there is no gym or business center, there only is a very small pool up on the roof top. Location was great. Overall not a bad hotel, but we won’t be staying there again.

Nice well kept hotel. Definitely trying to stay upscale but not overwhelmingly so. That includes a good price, too.

Room for improvement
front desk was very nice but if you have heavy luggage good luck getting up the stairs to the lobby. . View from room was of a disgusting building with tons of trash on the balconies. In morning came down to lobby and they had refreshing drinks with lots of small flies all around. Checked out after one day and went to the Sheraton for $40 more a night with a amazing view of the ocean

Read the fine print.
Let the buyer beware. Make sure you read the fine print before selecting this hotel. The price posted is not the actual price that you'll pay. There is a $20.00 per night resort fee (aka extended amenities fee). The hotel staff makes the claim claim this fee is for maintaining the pool and providing flavored water in the lobby. Apparently other hotels use this practice however there are plenty of other hotel options available that don't charge this fee. It is mostly a tourist gouge. The hotel itself is very conveniently located. That's its best asset. Its reasonably clean, mostly friendly staff.
