Good, but not great
It's a hip hotel and very clean. Good people working there. The location is okay, but not great. I've stayed in a lot of NYC hotel rooms, and while none of them are spacious, these rooms are TINY, as is everything about this hotel. I was just staying a night on business, so it suited my needs. I might stay here again, but only if I was traveling alone and on business.

Nice hotel - very clean. Rooms are definitely big city small but the cleanliness made it worth it. Amazing rooftop!

Ultra design-y style prevents comfortable stay.
FIRST: Ventilation A/C cycled in and out all night really loud like a jet engine. We were unable to adjust it using thermostat. We got no sleep! This is a case where the ultra design looks great on an interior design drawing, but fails in real life. There is no place to put down your purse, wallet, watch, glasses, coffee cup, etc. because there are NO tables of any kind. So we put our stuff on the floor. There is a cubby hole where we could put a small suitcase, but it was below clothes hangers, so we had to choose one or the other. There is a very large open cabinet above this, but guests would need a ladder to use it. There is NO private bath ROOM -- just an area, divided off by a smoked glass divider, open at the top. The bath sink bowl is very large (very design-y), but the edges are very narrow, no countertop for toiletries, so there is no safe place to put razors, toothpaste, brushes, etc. without them falling into the huge sink. There was no hot water in the sink. When taking a shower, the hot water only lasted a few minutes, then it got gradually cooler. I guess they are trying to be "green" by limiting the hot water? Very large bed, right next to the window and the wall, and only accessible from one side, so the person nearest the window must climb over the other person to get out of the bed.
