The staff here are fantastic!
Keep in mind that this is a super super cheap budget place to stay, so don't expect any amenities! I will say, however, that the AC worked great. Above all, the staff was simply incredible. Especially Albert (if I remember correctly) at the front desk. Every staff member I encountered during my 2 nights was friendly, helpful, courteous and to be honest, just as good as or better than the staff I encountered in some 5 star hotels. I'll repeat that again, just as good as or better than the staff I encountered in some 5 star hotels. So, for the money, you are going to get a very old building that is not in the best shape, rooms and decorations a bit worn out, but if you just need a solid place to stay, the staff here are incredible and will make you feel like you are with family. I actually felt a bit bad when I left here, so thank you, to all the staff here!!!

Pretty basic even for Cairo
Pretty basic hotel. The wifi sucks bad in the rooms. Breakfast is just a piece of cheese.

Quick hit
Excellent location for early morning appointments downtown Cairo and for a good price. I checked in 11 pm and checked out 8 am and was on time for my 8:30 am appointment. Old building, carpet, furniture. One can count many defects and be upset with. I decided to be very tolerant and focus on what I want : Few hours sleep + Morning shower + walk to where I want to go early morning. It was nice having breakfast (coffee+bread+cheese+jam) in the balcony before I checked out. Staff was nice and trying hard ... I was a good tipper.

Location
Rooms need an upgrade in terms of painting and decorating. New flooring neeed to be laid as well. The area has many hostels and with this brings issues with people trying to harass you as well. Always ignore them be just walk on. Security was good and really helped with taxi's for pickup I asked and paid for a single room with balcony. Description on hotels was that there would be a saelitte tv as well. No TV despite this being listed for in the room. If this hotel/ hostel was upgraded it would be so much better and the staff do what they can to help as well As a solo female traveller this probably was not the best area for me and when returning will look at other areas in cairo that have a less hassle for me. Best was the location as I used this as a base to go ot and about to other areas
