Warm and comfortable
The reception staff are so welcoming and friendly. Being on the main shopping street, there are lots of restaurants and cafes just steps away from the motel. When I entered the room the air con was set to 25C which was welcomed as it was 10C outside. The room was very comfortable, the only downside being the shower taking a long time for the hot water to arrive and no mixer tap at the bathroom sink. The motel is very quiet and I would definitely stay there again. Also, reception do offer free parking at a sister hotel when visiting Echo Point & the Three Sisters.

Pros - walkable to public transport and amenities, quite clean, and half of the room appeared to have had an upgrade. Bed was ok, although one side had a slope which wasn't comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cons - too small for 2 people (we did notice our unit was a small one on the fire diagram), only 1 sink for the whole unit (not separate for bathroom), and no hand towels so we used the single tea towel for this. Kitchenette needs a redo, looks like a step into the 80s, but the shower/toilet area appears redone although the reno is not the best quality. Kinda feels like a trailer was added to the unit though. Outside noise travels as well through this unit. Overall - best for a single person, not a couple, who's just there for reasonably comfortable night stay and out the whole day.

The place is too old & in bad repair. Safety in rooms is low with the way they have tried to renovate, looks like it’s been done by a novice. One of the pillows had dried blood on it so I’m thinking not being cleaned properly. Very disappointed with the accomodation.would not recommend it to anyone. Receptionist not very friendly.

All rooms are different. My bathroom didn't have a sink in it. To wash your hands and brush teeth it all needed to be done in the kitchen sink. Would have preferred a room with a sink in the bathroom.

Old world charm
On a lovely Katoomba day cold, wet& foggy Day , great start to holiday Sandra on the front desk checked us in early so we could put some dry clothes on. The old room was done up so well they reminded me of Ireland even the staircase imaging the old days when the ladies all dressed up in their finest to go for a walk
