Inexpensive, small room not far from cathedral
This was a great place to stay for a weekend in Lincoln. It's at the top of the hill so you're close to the cathedral and other tourist draws. The place itself was quite simple, but clean and comfortable. We stayed in a superior double room, which was still quite small. So I'm not sure how comfortable the economy room would be. It includes a full English breakfast in the campus cafe, which was nice. Key card access to the front door so you feel free to come and go. We would stay here again.

Convenient for Cathedral Area
Room comfortable, clean but very compact as was the shower area. Lacked storage space for clothing and cases - probably not good for long term stay. Restaurant excellent. Cleaners excellent but managed to "ignore" broken toilet roll holder for duration of our stay. Easy access to Cathedral area. Well worth weekend stay (2/3 days max). Would probably stay again but request larger room.

All things considered we'd stay again for sure.
Having read previous reviews regards tiny room size we were pleasantly surprised with our Standard room - being plenty big enough. It was super clean too and the bed really comfortable, we had a great night's sleep with no noticeable noises. Allocated parking for the hotel was small, but there was the massive campus car park a hundred yards away that could also be used. The location was a bit out of town - 15 minute walk to the start of the city proper (shops!) but that's not a big deal. Lincoln itself is a super place, with a great variety of shops, bars and places to eat.
