Great B&B, Greating Location!
I spent a week in Whitby researching a book, and besides the fact that it's one of the most picturesque and beautiful locations I've ever visited, the Chiltern is one of the best B&B's/hotels I've ever stayed in. The room was cozy and clean, the location was ideal (a short walk to the town center, a shorter walk to the cliff with it's stunning view of Whitby Abbey, across the harbor), and John, Jools and Vanessa were extremely friendly and helpful. And the breakfast is delicious - a full English breakfast or a sandwich with bacon or sausage, cereal, yogurt, coffe, tea - all included. You'll definitely get your money's worth and be in very good hands at the Chiltern!

Friendly and helpful owners. Quiet area too. Bed was a bit too soft for me but wife loved it! Breakfast was great and overall would recommend.

awesome bnb
what amazing hosts jools and john are. they took time out of their busy schedule to welcome us and orient us to the area. the inn was spotless and the food amazing. our room and shower was small but comfortable. it is a historic house, so that is how they are built. the location is perfect. there are no rules except one-"have a terrific time." Jools even helped us by doing our laundry and would not accept payment...though the usual is to have it sent out. they went above and beyond for their guests, were extremely friendly and welcoming and everything was perfect a great value. beautiful garden, nice neighborhood a block from the sand. this was our favorite bnb in the u.k. and we visited for 20 days all over Scotland and England. thanks guys!
