Bad experience at the RIU
I was not empress at all with the RIU hotel Beds are not comfortable,A/C not cooling at the night, mattress’s very filthy ,my kids got hit by bed bugs and on top of all the reception employees are not friendly. I spend almost $700 a night for five stars hotel and was not worthy.the room supposedly to fit 2 adults and 2 kids but what they give me can barely fit 2 people.

My families vacation was ruined by the fact that 3 random guests attacked my cousin in the HOTEL LOBBY and NONE of the Riu staff did a THING!!! They just stood there perhaps from lack of training, and no Security showed up to help handle these 3 huge guys (over 6 feet tall each) that PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED my cousin. One of them had a blade that ended up cutting himself and not any of us thank God! They attackers thought my cousin was alone and must have mistook him for someone else. Threats of Killing were made and all Hotel staff men just stood there while I jumped in to apprehend the one who started the whole situation and even my older old Father-in-law jumped on another one’s back to attempt to take him off and fell to his back and was struck by one of the assailants. My cousin who was being attacked by all 3 And The staff literally DID NOTHING!!! Not even a, “We’re sorry and let us try to make this experience better.” They alerted authorities after we left. I called back today and said “All we know is your cousin was attacked randomly. Assailants were taken by police. That’s all we can say.” I trusted RIU PALACE PENNINSULA to be a HIGH 5 Star Hotel and this is what happens in front of my 3 year old daughter and older family members!?! I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY AT THIS RESORT AND LET EVERYONE KNOW—SECURITY IS USELESS AND DONT CARE TO MAKE THINGS BETTER EVEN AFTER MULTIPLE STAFF MEMBERS SEEING WHAT HAPPENED!!
