The Eldan Hotel, Jerusalem
Nice hotel, great location, but parking a BIG mess
The hotel was wonderful with one BIG exception. The listing implies that they provide free parking. However, there are nowhere enough parking spaces for the guests. Indeed, there wasn't even enough space in front of the hotel to drop off our bags. We had to carry our bags for quite a distance over rough roadway to reach a private parking lot which added an unexpected cost to the hotel. It started our stay there on a decidedly negative note.

The refrigerator wasn’t cold and no one would fix it until I complained numerous times.

A Really Nice Alternative in Jerusalem
Our stay was very pleasant. The Eldan is a lovely smaller property situated just a few minutes walk away from virtually everything you would want to see in Jerusalem if you're only there for a couple of days. The rooms are very nicely appointed and the staff were extremely welcoming. I'm not sure that I would call the Eldan a luxury hotel, but it's definitely a great alternative to some of the larger high end hotels in Jerusalem, most of which are insanely expensive. You certainly can't beat the location.
