Icelandair Stopover
Great hotel in a perfect location. We flew in late and had to immediately go off to a tour we had scheduled before we could check-in. They had no problem checking us in at that midnight. The room, as expected, was small but well furnished and clean. The downstairs lobby area had every convience you could ask for in a modern hotel.

A nice welcome
Hotel has a nice area of large restrooms to change clothes and freshen up assuming you arrive on the 6am flight like I did. Staff was very accommodating in terms of storing luggage as you would expect. Plenty of food options in the area as well. Wifi was good, breakfast buffet was outstanding, quirky artwork interesting, drinks (like everything else in Iceland) very expensive. On the negative side - TV channel selection was terrible if you care about that, gym was mediocre at best. Location is a bit out of the main area so you have to walk back into the primary shopping area for many food choices. As the icelandics pick and choose where they plow, you'll likely be walking on ice in the winter. Next time I would choose a place right in the middle of everything. Taxis there are incredibly expensive (no uber/lyft competition).

The bartenders were amazing to watch—true artists. The included breakfasts were excellent. Very interesting and unique place to observe.
